Publishing Services
A per-composition deal: songwriter keeps 100% of the Writer's Share, Publisher's Share splits 50/50 between RDOCM and the songwriter's publishing entity. Includes reversion trigger if RDOCM fails to generate commercial use within any 36-month rolling window, with automatic balance forgiveness on reversion. No cross-collateralization; mutual creative approval required.
This 12-month developmental agreement requires the songwriter to deliver a minimum of 3.5 commercially viable songs per quarter. The royalty structure mirrors our standard co-publishing deal, granting the writer 100% of the Writer's Share and 50% of the Publisher's Share (75% total). Compensation is strictly royalty-based with no upfront draws, allowing writers to prove their output.
Reserved for proven creators, this 12-month agreement provides an $800 weekly draw against future royalties. In exchange, the writer must deliver a minimum of 7 fully completed, studio-quality original compositions per quarter. The songwriter maintains our favorable 75% total publishing royalty split (100% Writer’s Share and 50% Publisher’s Share) across all delivered works.

About
our company
Red Dirt Oil Co. Music is an independent country, Americana, and roots music label and publishing company based in Massachusetts, with a roster built across a nineteen-state footprint stretching from the Texas plains to the New England coast.
We exist to do one thing differently — put the artist first. Every deal we offer is structured as a joint venture, not a traditional record contract. You keep your masters, you share in the profits, and seven years after we part ways, everything comes back to you. No fine print. No surprises.
We find the talent. We fund the records. We work the rooms, the radio, and the algorithm — so you can stay focused on the music.
Red Dirt Oil Co. Music. Built on grit, tenacity, and undeniable commitment to the long haul.
